Here's a new picture of me with a hat I just knitting two weekends ago. Its a Noro yarn, a silk and wool blend.

This weekend has been kinda bleh. Amanda has worked all but two hours of today, so I'm just at home, studying for my exam tomorrow (stupid Seahawks) and eventually, knitting some more for the knitting olympics. I'm five inches into the back of the jacket, and I hope to get to eleven and a half tonight, so that I can start armhole shaping tomorrow. That a lot of knitting.

So back to work I go. I really just wanted to post this picture and gripe a little. My blogs will get more interesting, I promise.

Its official... I'm insane

So, I'm participating in the knitting Olympics. Basically, I'm making a jacket, which I'll cast on (start) during the opening ceremony, and then have till the torch is out to finish it. So, 16 days to knit an entire jacket. I'm going to die. I mean, never mind that I have, you know, class and papers and whatnot.

I really don't have much to blog right now besides that. So, I guess I'll update in a few days so everyone can see that I'm still alive. If I'm still alive.

Here's to the weekend...

So, its been quite a week. On the plus side, I scored 2 points in Ultimate Frisbee class, one that I threw and one that I caught. On the down side, Manda had to go to the doctor. :( The doc put her on some medicine, which has a slight, very small, chance to cause suicidal thoughts. So, if she says anything to me like, "Hey, anti-freeze doesn't taste all that bad" or "You know, I really like the coffin with the wood grain finish" then we've got problems. Not that that will happen, or that if she said that type of thing to me at any other time I'd ignore it, but now I have to worry a little. Just a smidgen. Its just that she's my most bestest friend and I wouldn't want anything to happen to her.

Ugh. Enough mushy stuff. This Saturday, we're (Manda and I) taking a knitting class. We're learning to knit fair isle, which means we're gonna be able to change colors mid-row and have it not look like crap. I'm super, super excited. Oh, the things I will knit. And, how could anyone forget, this Sunday is the SUPERBOWL!!!! Woohoo!!! I have to cheer for the Seahawks, cause one of my professors lived in Seattle for a while, and he said if they win we won't have a midterm. Not sure if he was kidding or not, but if they win I will not let him test us without a fight. I'm watching you Sandgren: I can be very, very irritating. :)

So go Hawks. For the love of God. Dr. Sandgren's tests scare me.
